ACI and BSI Host Webinar on Carbon Credits and Net Zero Targets

10 April 2026, Singapore – Asia Carbon Institute (ACI), in partnership with British Standards Institution (BSI), hosted a webinar “Inspire Trust for Net Zero: Strengthening Credibility through High Integrity Carbon Credits” on 9 April 2026. The event brought together investors, carbon project developers, auditors, green finance specialists and sustainability practitioners to explore opportunities, challenges, and recent developments shaping net zero commitments and the carbon credit market.

Wan Yang, Head of Sustainability Solutions, APAC, BSI, spoke about global trends in net zero commitments and the role of carbon credits in pursuing them. John Lo, Founder of ACI, discussed advances in carbon credit integrity and emerging standards, highlighting Asia’s opportunities and the regional challenge of insufficient knowledge and talents to engage in carbon markets. Chris Justice, Managing Director and Partner, Tathva, examined practical challenges project developers face when engaging with carbon markets.

During the webinar, ACI and BSI officially launched the Carbon Crediting Programs Training, a two-day course jointly developed by ACI and BSI to equip participants with practical frameworks and tools for understanding carbon markets and carbon credits. The course covers core market principles, the lifecycle of carbon credits, major project types and removal technologies, validation/verification/MRV processes, digital MRV (dMRV) and implications of Article 6 of the Paris Agreement.

The training course is open for registration until 3 May 2026. The course will be delivered in a hybrid format (in-person and online) at both locations:
