Singapore, 31 December 2025 – Asia Carbon Institute (ACI) has released a Methodology Development Guideline, a document designed to provide further clarity on ACI’s methodology developing process.

The new Guideline outlines the requirements, procedures, and quality assurance steps that govern the creation and review of methodologies under the ACI Program. It establishes a structured process to ensure that all ACI methodologies maintain strong technical integrity, reflect current best practices and the latest market trends.

By defining clear development pathways and review expectations, the Guideline enhances consistency across methodologies and fosters effective stakeholder participation. It also provides clarity for methodology developers, technical experts, and other contributors involved in ACI’s methodology development and review activities. The document will be updated periodically to reflect evolving scientific knowledge, policy developments, and innovations in carbon mitigation technologies.
